Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene

Industrial hygiene is the art and science of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling workplace conditions that may cause worker injury or illness. This course will provide students with the basic practical information to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control potential hazards. Students will be able to define terms and basic regulatory requirements, describe the effect of various chemical, physical and biological agents, and consider appropriate control measures.
